Arty Afternoons is a free art group for anyone at all. No prior art experience is necessary – our creative facilitators and guest artists will tutor you through whatever tasks are happening in the session and all materials are provided.
The aim of Arty Afternoons is to improve your wellbeing through the arts, develop your art style and gain confidence and support from our community.
Whether you’re a lifelong artist or completely new, you’ll find something fun to do here. There’s no pressure to join an activity you might not enjoy, we have many group members who spend the first couple of weeks observing and getting to know people over a cup of tea.
We have sessions with guest artists ranging from ceramicists, painters, comic-book artists, illustrators, mindfulness practitioner and storytellers and more. We also have our ‘freestyle’ sessions where you can either join in with the prompt suggested by our staff or carry on with an artistic project of your own!
