The speaker describes the talk:
“A winter holiday in Lapland – snow-covered countryside and frozen lakes. We took expeditions by snowmobile and by husky sledge, meeting reindeer and their Sami herders.
We admired the fantastic artworks of the Ice Hotel at Jukkusjarvi.
On the way to the far north, we had a short break in Oslo, visiting a Viking Ship Museum and Nansen's Fram; on the way back we explored Stockholm's Gamla Stan.
But all of this was extra to the main focus of the trip – would we see a display of the Aurora, the elusive Northern Lights?
Another year, we returned to snowy Lapland with our grandchildren to meet Father Christmas.”
