Every year, CarmDas and the community of Carmarthen proudly support the White Ribbon Campaign, and this year is no exception! We invite you to save the date for November 25th and join us for a meaningful late lunch break at 1:30 PM in Carmarthen town.
To mark this important event, we are asking our local community of men and boys to participate in a short walk-through Carmarthen Town, starting from the Guildhall and ending at St Catherine's Walk, where refreshments will be served. This is a fantastic opportunity to come together, show your support, and sign the White Ribbon pledge: “to never use, excuse, or remain silent about men’s violence against women.”
Everyone is welcome, whether you choose to walk or simply join us at the Carmarthenshire Business Hub for coffee, tea, and cake at the end of the walk. We’ll be there from 1:30 PM onwards waiting for the participants of the walk to arrive.
The advocacy and allyship of men and boys are crucial in transforming harmful cultures and attitudes that contribute to violence against women. While not all men are violent, all men can play a role in preventing and ultimately ending this issue.
Please let us know if you’ll be able to join us on November 25th to either walk or show your support for this important campaign and help create meaningful change.
For more details about the day, please find the promotional poster attached (don’t forget to scan the QR code!).
Thank you for your support!
