We’re delighted to announce that Llandeilo Lit Fest 2025 will take place on April 25th–27th Last year’s festival won the 2024 Best Event in Carmarthenshire from Carmarthen Tourist Association and we hope that this year’s festival will be even better!
The Festival weekend will feature:
- A wide range of talks on topics such as the environment, politics, food, art and gender.
- Talks from award winning authors and poets in Welsh and English.
- A weekend of live Welsh music at The White Horse, showcasing talented musicians from across Wales.
- We are teaming up with Llandeilo PRIDE for a series of special LGBTQ+ talks.
- Storytelling from local cyfarwydd Ceri Phillips.
Following the huge success of last year’s Kid’s Fest at the Lit Fest, we’re bringing it back with even more exciting sessions dedicated to children and young people. This year’s highlights include:
- Animation workshops by BAFTA-winning Aardman Animations (recently Golden Globe-nominated).
- Talks and activities from Bardd Plant Cymru Nia Morais, children’s laureate Alex Wharton, and award-winning authors Mari George, Lee Newbury, and Lesley Parr.
- Free writing, drama, art, and craft activities for all children to enjoy.
- A day of pre-festival literature activities for Llandeilo Primary School, Ysgol Teilo Sant, Ysgol Ffairfach, Ysgol Talley and Ysgol Cwrt Henri.
Last year, over 1,300 attendees enjoyed the festival, with overwhelmingly positive feedback.
