Carmarthenshire County Council and Carmarthenshire Association of Voluntary Services are pleased to announce the launch of the 2024 Networks and Forum Fund.
Our aim is to support you so that you can support us to:-
- Develop the right services, in the right way.
- Work together to address challenges and share ideas
- Shine a light on good practice and good news stories
- Learn from your experience as we plan for the future
The Networks and Forum funding can support your group with
- Room hire costs
- Digital equipment, accessibility, and translation services
- Communication materials, such as newsletter production and distribution costs
- Advertisement activities to attract new members
- Administration costs (Minute taking, Agenda setting, Invitations to meetings etc)
You can also use the funding to support your group with Campaigns. This is limited to £250 per campaign. Community Preventative Services may be able to support your group with additional campaign costs. For more information please call Connecting Carmarthenshire on 0800 917 6255.
Requirements:
Successful bidders will need to identify a group representative to be the “Spokesperson for Commissioning”. The Spokesperson will be the primary contact for Commissioning Officers. Their involvement will be to enable two-way communication between the commissioning team and the group, such as sharing feedback, considering options presented by commissioners for future development and sharing ideas and opportunities identified by the group to improve the independence and wellbeing of Carmarthenshire citizens. This may be your Chair, or another member of the group.
Restrictions:
This fund is available to Networks and Forums for Adults in Carmarthenshire only.
The core purpose of the group must feature one or more of the following population groups:
- Adults with a Learning Disability or Neurodivergence, and their families
- Adults concerned about their Mental Health
- Adults with Housing Related Support needs
- Unpaid Carers
- Older People or Adults with Physical Disabilities, Sensory Loss
- Adults who are lonely and isolated (particularly in more rural areas of the county)
Reporting:
Successful bidders will need to provide an annual report to evidence how the funding has been utilised and a summary of the outcomes achieved. Support will be provided to plan the reporting requirements with successful bidders post funding award.
