Young People Speak Up (YPSU for short!) is a place for young people to meet up, find themselves and raise their voices. It’s a place to meet new friends, to explore what you love, and try something completely different.
Tuesday afternoon drop in’s are completely led by you! Want to hang out in the tech room with the gaming pc or VR? Great! Want help with your homework or a story or piece of art you’re working on? No problem. Want somewhere cosy to hang out for a few hours after school? Amazing. Whatever you’d like to do, we’re here for it.
Wednesday sessions are workshops run by either our in-house creative facilitators or professional guests! One week could be a music workshop that teaches you how to play the electric guitar, another week could be a mindfulness arts session, and the next could be an internationally renowned writer giving you pointers on your poetry. It’s always something different, designed to improve your skills, build bonds with your peers, and most importantly have fun.
