Who comes to the Learning Centre?
Anyone 16+ who wants to improve their confidence and/or skills in any of these areas: using digital devices; reading and/or writing in English; maths knowledge and understanding - all can be learned informally at your own pace OR qualifications are available if required (WJEC GCSE or City & Guilds).
Also availabe: Connect and Create with Community Crafting.
Can I drop in and see what's on offer? Yes - drop in any daytime Monday to Friday - say hello at the front office on left as you come in or ring us on: 01267 235413 or email [email protected] to arrange a time.
How are the learning sessions organised? People can work individually with help from the tutor or in a small group.
Are there qualifications I can get? Yes, we offer qualifications from City & Guilds, WJEC GCSE and Agored Cymru at five levels from beginner to GCSE in English, maths and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
How much does it cost? Try taster sessions and craft for free. It's a one-off £10 to join the centre for a year: Tutor help is free; many qualifications are free; cost contribution for GCSE and ESOL City & Guilds.
