Carmarthen Shopmobility is a scheme which lends scooters and manual wheelchairs to anyone with limited mobility so they can enjoy Carmathen Town Centre.
Easy Going in Carmarthen
Even if you have serious difficulty walking, you can still enjoy Carmarthen Town Centre.
Hire one of Shopmobility's powered scooters or wheelchairs mamual or electric), and you will have the freedom to go shopping in the extensively pedestrianised streets. Much of this area offers a smooth, level surface without kerbs that is ideal for anyone with a disability.
It doesn't matter why your mobility is limited or whether you are a resident or visitor to Carmarthen. Shopmobility is there to lend a helping hand (or wheel) to anyone who needs it!
Where are we?
We are located on the ground floor of the multistorey car park, near the pay machines and the disabled parking spaces. See the Location page for a map.
Using Shopmobility
You need to be a member to hire equipment - you can join when you hire: all you need is two forms of ID. More details are on the Hiring Equipment page.
Facilities
We also have a disabled toilet that is large enough for a scooter to be taken in.
