Helping others can be incredibly rewarding and creates connections with the people around you.
Do something nice for a friend or a stranger. Thank someone. Smile. Volunteer your time or help someone. Join a community group. Look outward, as well as within. Be kind to yourself when you need a break, or need some time to do things that bring you joy.
Give a smile away! Giving gives adults a sense of purpose and improves self-esteem.
If you have fruit trees pop your excess fruit out on the street with a "help yourself" sign.
Start timebanking. Timebanking is the simple exchange of 'offers' and 'requests' for a credit.
Offer to mow your neighbour's property, change their lightbulb or rake their leaves.
Organise or promote random acts of kindness days at school, work or when you're out with a group.

See Volunteering Wales for more information about how you can get involved and give to others.
