Llandysul community wellbeing drop in 05/01/2024

Many thanks, once again, for the attendance at today’s drop in session in Neuadd Tysul Hall, Llandysul.  Considering we are still in the Christmas holidays I think we had a fantastic turn out and there was a lot of citizen conversations and networking – there was quite the buzz in the Hall.

 

We had 19 organisation that attended the event.

Total of 46 people, of which there was 20 citizens.

Putting them in touch with a service they need. Giving them information on the services we provide - Llandysul Family Centre

Provided information on childcare funding and gave advice to another on the path to becoming a childminder - Ceredigion Childcare Unit

Told one lady to take her mother back to audiology to have a new mould fitting Wales Council for Deaf People

Signed up for our services and helped with HR issues - Legacy in the Community

Signposted a patient to a 3rd sector organisation for support.  Accepted a self-referral for smoking cessation help - Hywel Dda University Health Board

Informed a citizen of the process to apply for direct payments.  Advised a PA on self employed status - Ceredigion Direct Payment Support Service

A couple who have a mum living who is at the start of of memory loss, advice on registering with GP as a carer (form given), Delta Wellbeing, Nest, looking after themselves leaflets given - Carers Wales

Mainly spoke to stall holders - Parc Yr Esgob

Loss of son 4 years ago – feeling isolated – advice given on what support we offer.  Signed up to our 8 weeks of wellbeing course - Mind Carmarthen

Signposted to various courses.  Raise awareness of different projects.

Thank you so much for your continued support for the Community Wellbeing Drop Ins – The buzz that was in Neuadd Tysul yesterday was amazing and the feedback from citizens was so encouraging.  We helped a lot of citizens yesterday and certainly made a difference to their wellbeing and lives – Diolch yn fawr!
